電球を作った人はたくさんいた。 それをビジネスとして成功させた最初の人と見る人もいる。

エジソンの最大の発明は、電球などではなく、研究開発機関かも知れない。

彼の特許を見ると、彼だけの特許はあまりない。 大量の人物の名前が書いてある特許が多い。 西側諸国では、イノベーションを作り続ける事ができる研究機関を作った最初の人だ。

エジソンは自分をプロモーションした。 自分で孤独に開発をするイメージを広めた。 その方がビジネス上有利だった。 彼自信に注目が集まる。

凄い発明家の話を追っていくと、実際は結構違っているということに気がつく。
